This challenging and exciting program for new and experienced day campers not only provides daily cabin group activities, but also encourages campers to pursue their own interests by participating in a special program area each day.  Program areas allow campers to develop new skills and confidence.

The second Thursday of each 2 week session also includes a campfire and overnight in Norwich’s cabins.

This is for campers entering grades 3rd to 5th in the Fall of 2025.

Please send your camper to camp with a backpack each day that contains their bathing suit, towel, extra clothing, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hearty lunch, and afternoon snack. We will provide a morning snack. Please label all your camper’s belongings as well so we can help return lost and found to the camper.

The goal of Camp Norwich’s CIT program is to transition campers into counselors, creating responsible and independent young leaders who can contribute positively to camp and their community. Being a CIT means committing to learning and growing personally, professionally, individually, and as a team. The creativity, responsibility, and enthusiasm needed to work at camp will provide CITs with in-demand job skills for any future career. CITs should be prepared to step out of their comfort zone and be willing to lead, learn, and work with a variety of ages providing support to both campers as well as camp staff.

This is a great introduction to summer camp for our youngest campers. Each day of camp is filled with excitement and new experiences! Daily schedules emphasize routine and provide a balance between active and quiet, sports and culture, group and individual activities. In our small-group environment, children receive the extra support and encouragement they need to feel at home.

The Explorers group are for campers entering Kindergarten to 2nd grade for the upcoming Fall 2025.

There is a Family Night and camp fire on the second Wednesday of each two week session for the Explorers Unit.

Empowering youth to assume more responsibility is the emphasis of this specially designed program.  Each session allows campers to experience lessons in group dynamics, creative problem solving, environmental awareness, and program planning.  Traditional camp activities such as boating, swimming, crafts, and sports round out the total experience.

The second Thursday of each 2-week session, Trailblazers enjoy a day of outdoor adventures concluding with parent night and campfire.
